Dr. Aleksandra Drecun, Psy.D., is the founder of Association for Compassionate Transformation. She is a licensed psychologist who has a profound passion and derives immense gratitude from assisting individuals, couples and families in realizing their fullest potential. Her practice includes treatment of children, adolescents, adults, couples, families and groups. In addition, she provides consultation services to individuals and organizations and life-coaching services for individuals, couples and executives.
Moreover, Dr. Drecun conducts psychological testing for personality and/or career assessment, diagnostic impressions and treatment planning purposes. Her specialties include assessing and treating Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Burnout and Stress in CEO’s, Mental Wellness in Elite Athletes and Coaches, Professionals in the Music and Film Industry, Twitch Streamers, Body Focused Repetitive Disorders, Trauma, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and Depression. She is listed as a participant in the National Football Players League Association (NFLPA) Directory for Mental Wellness. She also works with couples to increase relational satisfaction, and provides affirmative therapy to the LGBTQIA+ community.
In addition, she conducts disability evaluations for veterans, fitness for duty evaluations for large firms and forensic competency evaluations for the Department of Justice. Dr. Drecun specializes in working with individuals with high performing individuals with demanding careers such as partners/executives in large firms such as Deloitte and elite/professional athletes. Dr. Drecun is enthusiastic about the field of psychology and its application in facilitating a successful life in the individuals she works with. She frequently works with media to distribute her knowledge and expertise.
She received a Doctorate in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University California School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Drecun’s dissertation focused on the legal, ethical and therapeutic impact of family secrets in family therapy. She obtained her Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University. Her undergraduate degree includes a bachelors in Psychology from the University of California Riverside, where she gained experience working as a research assistant. Dr. Drecun has worked as associate faculty for Mount San Antonio College, California Baptist University and as an instructor at the University of California, Riverside Extension. Dr. Drecun currently works as associate faculty at MiraCosta College, Miramar College, Palomar College and National University.
Dr. Drecun has served as a presenter at the annual American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy Conference on family secrets. She has conducted numerous presentations at various mental health centers on attachment and foster children, chemical dependency, children’s psychological issues, and communication in the workplace.
Dr. Drecun professional work experience includes working at a San Bernardino County clinic, a Riverside contract agency, a private foster family agency, a medical group, a private practice in south orange county, a university counseling center and a psychological corporation.
