Sadly, film director Tony Scott committed suicide by jumping off the Vincent Thomas Bridge in San Pedro on Sunday. Most importantly, suicide can be prevented. Not every person will provide warning signs, although most do. To help prevent a tragic loss in a loved one, it is essential to understand what are the warning signs and how to respond to them. Individuals who are suicidal are dealing with depression. However, not all individuals struggling with depression are suicidal. Depression is recognizable and treatable. Hence, it is essential to get professional assistance if a loved one is having thoughts of self harm.
